Tour Schedule

Day 1

After arrival at Addis Ababa Airport overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2

Addis city tour & unity park
Our first visit will be to see Arat-Kilo National Museum (housing Lucy, the 3.2 Million years old fossil, and other historical artifacts), then drive to Mount Entito Saint Mary Church and Menelik Palace with a panoramic view of Addis Ababa. After a traditional lunch, we will head to Unity Park for a visit of  2 -3 hours. After that will visit Mercato (the biggest open-air market in Africa) and then last but not least will  visit an Ethnographic museum at Addis Ababa University (The museum was formerly the palace of Emperor Haile Selassie.)

Day 3

Debrezeit Crater Lakes
45KM Drive east of Addis Ababa to visit Mount Zukala crater lakes with its various indigenous and rare birds. Optional activities /water park recreation  at Kuriftu / Overnight stay at Kuriftu

Day 4

Drive to the south of Addis Ababa, we will be passing through and visiting the Rift Valley lakes. We will stay overnight at Langano (Savannah Lodge or similar).

Day 5

We will drive from Langano to Hawassa and visit Hawassa lake. After that, we will be heading to Yirgacheffe (an area where one of the best breeds of Ethiopian coffee is found) to visit coffee farms. Finally, we will be back to Hawassa  /for an overnight stay At Haile resort.

Day 6 & 7

Drive to Arbaminch ("Forty Springs") city. On the way, we will visit the Dorze tribe, who lives in the Chincha village on a high ridge. This small and unique tribe is famous for its ability and culture to exist almost only from a single plant, the “false Banana” (Enset), from which they derive their food, clothes, and homes. Lake Chamo is a part of the Syrian-African rift lakes. Here we can watch crocodiles, hippos, and an impressive variety of bird species.

Day 8 & 9

Mursi – River Tribal Nations:  Mursi

In the morning we leave Arbaminch and go to the country town of Jinka, where we will stay overnight. The city is best known for the finest coffee growing in it. On the way, we will visit the tribe's Benna and Ari. We will get introduced to the rich culture of the local people in the afternoon while visiting the Ethnographic Museum. The next day we will meet the members of the Mursi tribe, a tribe of shepherds – farmers, who live in round cabins made of straw, and their wives are known for the round plates that tend to lower their lips with when they reach adolescence.

Day 10

Last day of the trip and we drive back to Addis Ababa/Hotel.
